BUILDING INDUSTRY GUIDANCE SOLUTIONS LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of users of the Progress 360 mobile application (the “App”) and the associated web platform bigprogress360.com (the “Platform”).
This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
This policy applies only to the mobile App. Data processed via the web platform is governed by the platform’s own privacy documentation.
Progress 360 is an enterprise tool.
Only users who have been invited and authenticated through the bigprogress360.com web platform can access the App.
The App is not available to general consumers.
The App itself does not collect any personal account information such as:
Name
Company details
User permissions
All account creation, management, and identity information is handled solely by the web platform.
The App only receives login credentials and project access data that the Platform makes available to the authenticated user.
The App allows users to capture 360° images using a compatible Insta360 camera connected via Wi-Fi.
These images:
Are stored temporarily on the device
Are uploaded automatically to the Platform once the user has Wi-Fi or mobile data connectivity (depending on their chosen settings)
Are deleted from the device as soon as the upload is successful
Are stored permanently on servers hosted on Microsoft Azure
Images correspond to project floor-plan “hotspots” assigned to a construction project.
Images should not contain identifiable individuals, and users are instructed not to capture people.
The App stores temporary login tokens to maintain a user’s authenticated session.
These tokens do not include personal identifiers and are deleted when the user logs out.
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, including:
App screen views
Device type
Operating system
Session duration
Basic performance metrics
These analytics help us improve app functionality and performance.
Data collected by Firebase does not identify individual users.
If the App crashes or encounters an error, Firebase Crashlytics collects:
Device model
Operating system version
Error logs
Crash logs do not include personal information or images.
The App may temporarily store:
Unsynced 360 images
Login/cache files
All temporary storage is removed automatically according to normal application use.
The App does not collect:
Location services or GPS data
Contact lists
Photo library access (only images captured directly via the Insta360 camera connection)
Personal profile data
Sensitive personal information
Advertising identifiers
The App does not show ads and does not monetize user data.
We use the information collected through the App only for the following purposes:
To allow users to view and manage construction project floor plans
To capture, upload, and store 360° progress images
To maintain secure user authentication
To improve app reliability and performance through analytics and crash logs
To ensure integration with the Progress 360 platform
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising.
All data uploaded through the App is stored on Microsoft Azure, which provides industry-standard security and encryption.
We implement technical and organisational measures to protect all data processed through the App, including:
Encrypted transfer of images
Access-controlled storage
Secure authentication methods
Automatic removal of local temporary files
Only authorized enterprise users (connected to their organization’s project) can access project data.
The App uses the following third-party services:
Firebase Analytics – anonymous usage statistics
Firebase Crashlytics – crash/error reporting
Microsoft Azure – secure cloud hosting for stored images
No other third-party SDKs or ad networks are used.
No data is shared with other external organizations.
360 images: stored permanently on the Progress 360 platform unless removed by the customer or project administrators.
Temporary device storage: removed immediately after successful upload.
Authentication tokens: stored only for the duration of an active session.
Analytics and crash data: retained according to Firebase’s standard retention periods.
Depending on your organisation’s policies and applicable data protection laws, you may have rights to:
Request access to data associated with your account
Request deletion or correction of data
Object to the use of analytics where applicable
Requests should be directed to your organisation or project administrator, who manages your account on the Progress 360 platform.
Progress 360 is an enterprise tool and is not intended for use by children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this document.
For privacy-related inquiries, please contact your organisation’s Progress 360 administrator or submit a request through the bigprogress360.com platform.
